Wil Armstrong | Chairman

Wil Armstrong joined Cherry Creek Mortgage Company in 1992 and has since served in the roles of Vice President, Executive Vice President, and Vice Chairman. Throughout most of his tenure, he has served as a company director. He was elected Chairman in January 2009. He is also a founder and the CEO of Blueberry Systems, a software development and consulting firm aimed at data management and application integration. In 2007, Wil was selected to the Board of Directors of Colorado Community Bank, a $400 million (assets) commercial bank and was named Vice Chairman of the bank's holding company in early 2009. He served previously on the Board of Directors of Colorado-based Heritage Bank, a $350 million (assets) bank.
At the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA), Wil served as a Director for nine years including his last year as Chairman beginning in 2004. The Denver Business Journal recognized him in 2005 as one of the 40 Under 40 outstanding local professionals for his business success and community contributions.
The CMLA awarded him the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2006. Wil received a BBA in Finance from James Madison University. He lives in Greenwood Village, Colorado with his wife Kristy and their three children.
Jeffrey S. May | President & CEO

Since his arrival as President in 1987, Jeff's hands-on management style has paid dividends for the company. Under his direction, the firm was twice listed as one of the fastest growing private companies in America. In addition to strategic planning, he directs a dynamic team of corporate officers while focusing a great deal of energy on the production side of the business. To his credit, Jeff has stayed in touch with the best practices of the highest producing originators in the country. He is a recognized leader in the areas of sales and leadership development focused on the mortgage lending industry.
Jeff is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He has served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA) and was Chairman of the Education Committee. In 2008, Jeff was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the CMLA.
Jeff received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University. When not working, Jeff, his wife Kathy and their four children spend most of their free time working on and enjoying their cattle ranch in western Nebraska.
Bill Armstrong | Director

Bill Armstrong became a shareholder of Cherry Creek Mortgage Company and Chairman in 1990 after representing the State of Colorado in the U.S. Senate for twelve years and Colorado's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives for six years.
While in the Senate, he held the distinction of being the only member to serve on three major financial committees: the Senate Budget Committee, the Senate Finance Committee, and the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs.
Throughout his life, Bill has been an active businessman. He owned and operated three ABC affiliate television stations, two radio stations, and a daily newspaper. He is the Chairman of the Denver-based Oppenheimer Funds and has served on numerous public company boards. Currently, he is the President of Colorado Christian University.
Bill was born in Fremont, Nebraska and attended both Tulane University and the University of Minnesota. He is married to the former Ellen Eaton of Chadron, Nebraska. They live in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado and are members of Cherry Hills Community Church.
Stacey Harding | Senior Vice President

Stacey Harding brings a unique background of leadership experience and abilities to Cherry Creek Mortgage Company. He began his mortgage banking career in 1985 as a Mortgage Loan Officer in Wichita, Kansas.
Since then, Stacey has held broad leadership roles in the mortgage industry. Those include: AVP-Secondary Marketing Manager for Mid Kansas Federal, VP-State Production Manager for Banc One Mortgage and SVPOperations Manager for Pulte Mortgage Corporation.
In 1998, Stacey made the decision to return to the production side of the mortgage industry and joined CCMC as Vice President and was subsequently promoted to Senior Vice President and National Production Manager.
In addition to his duties at CCMC, Stacey served as the Chairman of the Board for the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA) in 2008 and served on the Board of Directors from 2003 through 2009. In 2008 he received the C. A. "Bus" Bacon Award and in 2009 the Aksel Nielsen Award, both presented by the CMLA. Stacey is also the 2006 recipient of the Lifetime Mastery Award, presented by The Todd Duncan Group.
Jan Zapapas | Vice President & CFO

Jan joined Cherry Creek Mortgage Company in March 2006 and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, she has overall responsibility for accounting, finance, human resources, and information technology.
Jan brings over 30 years of experience in solving business problems and effecting change in a variety of functional areas and industries. She has held senior management positions in accounting and finance, consulting, information systems, marketing, operations, and engineering in the software, professional services, and manufacturing industries. While serving in these various capacities and industries, Jan has had direct management responsibility for over 1000 employees. She has used this experience to address the challenges of the mortgage lending industry at CCMC.
Jan received her Bachelor of Engineering degree from Purdue University and continued masters course work at the University of Colorado, becoming a Certified Public Accountant in 1985. She has served or currently serves both on non-profit and public company Boards of Directors. Jan and her husband Jim live in Centennial with their four daughters and are members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Jerry Kaplan | Vice President - Capital Markets

Jerry began in the mortgage industry in 1991 as a retail loan originator. After owning then selling his own mortgage company in 1997, he joined Cherry Creek Mortgage Company as the Alternative Product Manager before becoming Vice President of Capital Markets in 2006. Jerry serves as a senior member of the executive team and director of Risk Management and Product Development Committees. It is this wealth of experience that has allowed Jerry to develop strong investor relations with national institutions, manage product development and maintain a high level of customer service and support. His continually innovative look at the mortgage industry is what allows the Capital Markets department to continue with state of the art tools and product knowledge to assist our Loan Originators with all their product needs.
Jerry is a Certified Mortgage Lender (CML) thru the Colorado Association of Mortgage Lenders and is an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) thru the Mortgage Bankers Association. Jerry has a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder and is a founding father of Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. He resides is Parker, Colorado with his wife Lauren and their three wonderful children: Jillian, Marc and Brett.
Kathy Stein | Vice President - Operations

Kathy joined Cherry Creek Mortgage Company in August 2006 through the Premier Mortgage Group merger with CCMC. Kathy had been an Owner/Partner and Director of perations for Premier Mortgage Group since 2001. She currently serves as the Vice President of Operations and is responsible for managing processing, underwriting, closing and post closing.
Kathy has been in the mortgage lending, real estate and residential building industry in Colorado for over 30 years. She served on the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA) Board of Directors for six years and continues to assist with the CMLA Networking Committee.
Kathy is a Colorado State Licensed Mortgage Broker. She was awarded the Everett C. Spelman "Mortgage Lender of the Year" Award in 2005, the Aksel Nielsen Award in 2004, and has held the CMLA Certified Mortgage Lender designation since 2001.
Kathy lives in Centennial and loves to spend time with her two children, Nicole, who lives in Aurora, and Dustin, who lives in Durango, Colorado.
Michael E. Hole | Vice President & CIO

Mike has served in the mortgage business since 1983 and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Cherry Creek Mortgage Company. His responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day systems support for a 500+ person organization as well as providing timely information in the support of business operations.Prior to joining CCMC in January of 1995, Mike served as Systems Administration Manager for a regional loan wholesaler and servicer. Since then he has helped build the infrastructure to support a flexible and fast growing organization including the planning and implementation of three major loan origination systems. From 1983 to 1987, Mike worked with a national mortgage company as a residential loan officer serving the metro Denver area. Following this period he managed the disposition of residential properties on a national level as a property manager and licensed real estate broker at MTS Real Estate Services. He negotiated the sale of over 400 individual single-family properties from 1987 to 1992.
Mike received a BBA degree in Finance and Real Estate from Texas Christian University. Mike and his wife Jan live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
John Carson | Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary

John is responsible for the legal, quality control, compliance and legislative affairs operations of Cherry Creek Mortgage Company. He previously worked as a real estate attorney with Snell & Wilmer LLP. John served as the Regional Director for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development from 2001 to 2009, where he oversaw FHA, affordable housing, fair housing, and economic development programs in the Rocky Mountain West. John served for eleven years on Capitol Hill, working for three members of Congress in senior legislative positions. He also served as Staff Director for the Senate Banking Committee's Subcommittee on Housing and Transportation, where he was responsible for oversight of HUD, FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. John worked as an attorney at the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
John received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and his Master of Laws in Taxation degree from Georgetown University. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for six years. John is president of the Douglas County Board of Education and lives with his wife Eileen and their three children in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Gary Windfield | Vice President - Marketing

In his role as head of marketing, Gary brings 30 years of professional direct marketing experience to Cherry Creek Mortgage Company that began at NCR Corporation in
sales and marketing of business solutions to financial institutions. He later became Vice President of Sales at the HomeLenders Division of Weyerhauser Mortgage. Before joining CCMC, Gary was Vice President of Sales for dbIntellect, the Database Marketing business unit of EDS Corporation. During his professional career he has led multiple customer-centered marketing initiatives for clients such as Nike, Pacific Bell, MCI, Chase, Discover Card, TRW-Experian,and others.
Gary's current projects include the ClientKeeper marketing platform - a technology that integrates both transactional and marketing content into an effective communication tool for both customers and business partners.
Gary studied computer science and marketing statistics at Omaha University following three years active duty with the United States Naval Air in the Pacific during the Vietnam war. He and his wife Sherry reside in Castle Pines Village, Castle Rock, Colorado.
